Ferry Wood Labyrinth was created in April 2023 , designed by the artist Margaret Ker , It sits in the field below Ferry Wood. We settled on a site for the labyrinth with Margaret and the grass was removed with the help of Stephen Johnstone , this gave us a great mound of earth for growing in. Margaret then laid out the labyrinth with rope to which we added rocks pebbles and shells from the beach with the help of our wwoofer Fern and neighbours Ros and Jon.

Ros and Jon performed a ritual celebration for the creation of the labyrinth with a drum and flute.
In April 2024 Claire and Paul made a great sign for the site (see pic at bottom of the page).
A labyrinth is a single path that leads from the entrance to the centre , the exit is the same as the entrance. They have been used for thousands of years in many forms including pottery and mosaics.
Walking a labyrinth is calming and meditative. We invite to say these words as you walk it:
Relax Release Receive Return
Breathe in Relax. Breathe Out. Smile
Other things you might like to do are:
Set an Intention for yourself and/or for others
Lay a burden down in the Centre and collect a Perl of Wisdom
